Results from Belgium

The national championships for categories were held in Eugies last week-end. The champions are:
- Olivier Père (AS Hennuyer) in the veterans
- Jérémie Gosset (AS Hennuyer) in U15
- Florian Giaux (Rochefort TS) in U12
- Delphine Dieudonné (AS Hennuyer) in the ladies. Delphine had to win a test-match against Jessica Hardenne to claim the title.
- Kevin Bertholomé (SC Stembert) in the very first U10 championship
- in the U19 league, 3 players came up with the same number of points and victories. Therefore Renald Deloose (Templeuve United), Kevin Beckers (SC Stembert) and Julien Dardenne (Rochefort TS) will have to play test-matches in 3 weeks time to decide the champion.

Isn´t that a bit exorbitant?

We did it this year because there are about 8 very young players and most of them are from the clubs of ASH and Eugies where the championhip was held. It's not sure another U10 tournament will take place in the future. We'll see...

I hope not.

Somebody could come around with the idea to play a U10 World Championship
