With a quick look, some good stuff there. Luis has already done more constructive work than predecessors after Frankfurt. And to think at first he was not appreciated to receive this position...

Serious work like this, and open attitude, has to be rewarded. So I too will try to give my meager feedback to you in a few days.

Good ideas. At least Luis shows he's someone who understand the needs of the community. When I compare Luis's ideas and Capponi's ideas, there is such a world of difference. Go Luis. You rock!

Nice set by quick view, but the reality might be harder. Finding enough right type of people in small community like ours can be a bitch, but i truly hope that it can and will be possible thing to do. The success on this plan, even on the few main goals is a huge thing.

Need to read it again few times and see if there's anything that i can be part of..

As usual good stuff from Luis. As already suggested some points needs improvement e.g. more details. But the direction is very good and has to be supported. The certain people to be needed should go in a second step into more details.

1. FISTF Portal

- I think this should had been the case from the beginning. Linking all possible tf based websites is good thing, but i think it needs a personal interest and reason for person to follow another countries sites when most of them are written in different languages. What would be the task(S) for the contributors?

2. FISTF Discussion Forum

- Been saying this since new BoD started, but for some reason they wanted to focus SN. Never got clear explanation about this. Why there is a need to introduce yourself, specially when it seems that people are prejudging others. In every forum people are responsible for what they write so is there some exceptional rules in FISTF forum and what does this disciplinarily responsible mean?

3. FISTF circulars and image

- I think this is mainly task for FISTF Marketing Department / BoD. Of course every nation can promote FISTF on their websites and in tournaments.

4. FISTF Census

- To gather basic information about players and clubs should be easy task to complete. The development or more the marketing of the game is one big topic where all countries could use some help. I was surprised when 2 italian people (who are now living in Finland) were wondering how there is only little over 1000 players in Italy and i has been thinking that 100 players is big numbers. By the survey nations or atleast FISTF BoD could see what are the main challenges in each country and how many of those are same challenges in many countries. To find solution for these areas with lots of countries could be an event to bring nations and people closer together, when it's done right (imo).

5. FISTF Tournaments

- Today excel is more bit of "old habit tachnology". One thing that i have been thinking for our national leagues and tournaments is website that would gather the information and also be able to use real time statistics and result. At the same time all the data would be saved in database which is usually automatically backed up, so it can't be easily lost either. It would also provide way to insert and update things no matter what device/OS/software person uses, where the person is nor what time is it. This would also reduce the amount of manual copy-paste needed at the moment.

6. FISTF Database

- Little about this above, but internet and todays technology is offering ways to do, save and share information faster and easily so we should try to make use of that.

7. FISTF Newsletter

- This is one thing that needs improvments and this is also one thing that has reflection to the whole FISTF image. I think it would be better to try found out some person(s?) who can provide interesting (or even helpful) articles around the world with basic newsletter information. Would be inspirating to read stories about campaigns to raise and market the game in new countries for example.

8. FISTF Digital Museum

- This goes bit to the database, but gathering pictures and videos is always nice and imo, it should be done way more than it seems to be done at the moment.

9. FISTF DoC

- I'm not sure about this translation stuff when we are in situation where we don't even have proper information in english, which is the main language in international communication. This is also something that reflects to the whole image and i think it wouldn't harm anyone that FISTF deparments could have an native english speaking person to contribute in international communications. This would also reduce the amount of misunderstandings.

These are my 2 cents by reading and typing at the same time..

Just want to give (first) response to the two above mentioned statements because they have a close link: Translation and/or common language. I like the idea of Luis to have as much as possible native speakers involved. We have to find a way to avoid misunderstandings. Therefore we need a common language base. Example: the rules of the game are officially in two languages: french and english. Are they aligned ? I guess not.
We have a german version translated from the english one. The german version is NOT officially recognised and we already found out the austrian version though also (more or less Twisted Evil) in german is slightly different to our version. If we would chose the finnish version to translate into german we could have something total different from the current one. I hope you understand what I mean. Clearer communication has to be built up by a common language base ....
